IRCS Girls Cross Country Earns Spot Among Florida's Top Class 1A Programs in Preseason Rankings

The Indian Rocks Christian School girls cross country program is once again receiving statewide recognition heading into the 2026 season.

MileSplit Florida recently released its **Top 10 Florida Girls Cross Country Teams Based on Returners in Class 1A**, and the Eagles were recognized as one of the premier programs in the state entering the fall season. The rankings are based on the returning runners from each team's 2025 state championship lineup and project which teams are positioned to compete for a state title this season.

For IRCS, the preseason recognition reflects a program that has established itself as one of Florida's consistent cross country powers.

The Eagles enter the season following another outstanding year in which they captured both the **FHSAA Class 1A District 11 Championship** and the **Region 3 Championship**, continuing the program's tradition of competing at the highest level. Those accomplishments added to an already impressive resume that includes **three consecutive FHSAA Class 1A State Championships (2021, 2022, and 2023)**.

Leading this year's squad is a talented group of returning runners who bring both experience and championship expectations into the fall. The Eagles return a strong core that includes Adelyn Lubke, Sasha Middleton, Sage Bonham, Emma Tress, and Makena Webb providing the depth needed to once again compete among Florida's elite Class 1A programs.

The future is bright as well. Sophomore standout Adelyn Lubke continues to emerge as one of Florida's top young distance runners after establishing herself among the state's fastest returning underclassmen.
