Eagles Roll Past Hollins, Even Record at 8-8
The Eagles delivered a dominant performance on the diamond, defeating Hollins High School 13-1 to improve to 8-8 on the season.
Leading the way was Mason Stout, who was outstanding on the mound. Stout threw five shutout innings, racking up nine strikeouts while keeping Hollins off the scoreboard and in complete control of the game.
The Eagles’ offense backed him up in a big way, exploding for 13 runs and putting the game out of reach early. The team’s balanced attack and aggressive approach at the plate proved too much for Hollins to handle.
With momentum building at the right time, the Eagles now turn their attention to the SSAA State Championships. They will take on St. Joseph’s this Thursday at Sanford Stadium as they look to continue their strong play and make a postseason run.
