Eagles Girls Cross Country Completes a Truly Historic Season
The Eagles Girls Cross Country team wrapped up one of the most remarkable seasons in program history—one that not only showcased their talent and depth, but also rewrote the IRCS record book.
The postseason opened with a milestone achievement as the Eagles captured the District Championship—their first district title since 2012 and the sixth in program history. The team carried that momentum into the next week, delivering a dominant performance to claim the Regional Championship. This was the program’s first regional title since 2002 and just the second overall, marking a defining moment in the resurgence of IRCS Girls XC.
Their historic run continued all the way to the FHSAA State Championships in Tallahassee, where the Eagles finished an impressive 6th place—adding another top-tier accomplishment to their postseason résumé.
But the story of this season goes far beyond medals and placements. It’s a testament to relentless work, unity, and belief. Each athlete contributed to a championship culture that elevated the program to new heights and set a standard for future teams to chase.
Congratulations to the athletes and coaches on a season that will be remembered for years to come. The Eagles didn’t just compete—they made history.
