Eagles Take Down Cambridge Christian on Elementary Night
The Eagles picked up a big 31-16 win over the Cambridge Christian Lancers on Friday night in front of a packed home crowd of over 2,000 fans at the Eagles Nest. The atmosphere was electric on Elementary Night, and the team delivered with an impressive all-around performance.
Quarterback Gavin Galish made his much-anticipated return and threw two touchdown passes to spark the offense. Ocean was dominant on the ground, finding the end zone three times to pace the Eagles’ rushing attack. On the defensive side, the Eagles came up with three crucial turnovers that stalled Lancer drives and shifted momentum. Special teams also played their part as Caleb Filippone was perfect in the kicking game, drilling a field goal and converting all of his extra points.
The complete effort moved the Eagles to another statement victory as they continue their strong season. Up next, the Eagles hit the road for a tough matchup at Clearwater Central Catholic (CCC) this Friday.
