Indian Rocks Christian School is proud to announce that Crosby Kappeler has been selected as a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Student-Athlete Advisory Committee!

This prestigious honor is given to only eight new student-athletes across the state each year, chosen from a pool of more than 80 applicants. Crosby will serve as the Boys Private School representative, giving him the unique opportunity to represent not only IRCS, but also private schools across Florida.

The FHSAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is designed to give student-athletes a voice in shaping the future of high school athletics. Members serve as ambassadors for their peers, provide feedback to the FHSAA on issues affecting student-athletes, and represent the association at state championship events.

Crosby has consistently shown the character, leadership, and resilience needed for this role. Even when faced with adversity, he has remained a steady leader and encourager for the younger members of the IRCS cross country team. His example of perseverance, teamwork, and servant leadership reflects the heart of what it means to be a Golden Eagle student-athlete.

“Crosby is one of the best student leaders in the state,” said IRCS Athletic Director Ryan Johnson. “He lives out the values of being a good teammate and demonstrates Christ-like servant leadership in everything he does. We could not be more proud of him.”

As part of his role, Crosby will attend FHSAA advisory meetings throughout the school year and will serve as an FHSAA ambassador at state championship events.
