Indian Rocks Christian School is excited to announce the hiring of Aaron Ledesma as the new Head Coach of the Varsity Baseball program.
Ledesma, a former Major League Baseball infielder, played professionally for the New York Mets, Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and Colorado Rockies during a career spanning nearly a decade. Following his time in the majors, he transitioned seamlessly into coaching, bringing the same passion and discipline that defined his playing career to mentoring young athletes.
In addition to his professional experience, Ledesma has a deep personal connection to the Indian Rocks Christian community. He is an active member of Indian Rocks Church, and is a parent of an IRCS student.
“Aaron brings an incredible professional playing and coaching background, a strong faith rooted in Jesus Christ, and a will to pursue winning at the highest level,” said Ryan Johnson, Athletic Director at IRCS. “Coach Ledesma will lead our IRCS baseball to fulfill the portrait of a graduate at IRCS developing sound minds, servants' hearts, and skilled hands in our student-athletes.”
Ledesma’s coaching resume includes serving as a Manager and Hitting Coach in the New York Yankees organization (2008–2012), Head Baseball Coach for the Florida Burn travel program, and, most recently, as the Head JV Baseball Coach at Calvary Christian High School. His combination of high-level playing experience, coaching expertise, and strong leadership will be instrumental in elevating the baseball program at IRCS.
Ledesma will begin his role immediately, with the Fall baseball league and preparations underway for the 2026 season.
